Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:06 I am pleased to say that I have decided to venture into the world of pet photography. I will be compiling my portfolio soon on the main site and this should be available by the end of the week. I’ve embedded a preview for now.

Meet Mrs Pickles the new addition to our home. She was adopted through Manchester Dogs Home and is now living with us permanently, she’s a Chirussell or a mix of a Jack Russell, a Chihuahua and maybe something else. Whatever she is she’s a fabulous, far out of solid and a righteously awesome super pupster.

I have recently began to play around with the black and white conversion software Silver Efex Pro 2. I upgraded weeks ago and haven’t had an opportunity to delve into the new features until now. Why did I wait so long? This is a stunning piece of software, I absolutely love it.
Whilst Version 1 was always my preferred solution when converting any image to black and white, would version 2 introduce new features that would change the way I approached the editing of black and white images. The answer is yes, version 2 is fabulous. In the image above I used the new ‘soft contrast’ tool, l to make the image pop from the background.

Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:57 Think Spring Watch meets Blind Date circa 1985
A raucous, northern mother and her dandy, new romantic son are doing a spot of “subtle” self-promotion. They are on their way to a speed-dating event. Mrs Preener wants to see her Graham settle down with a nice bird but Graham has other ideas… Think Spring Watch meets Blind Date circa 1985. The Preeners bring you comedy characters, sensationally sparkley animated costumes and a healthy dollop of audience participation.
